I dream of food. And drink.
Therefore, I eat. I drink. (Obviously). I cook. I bake. I explore. I taste.
You may ask, what do I taste? Everything! I'm drawn to the different and new. Thoughtful or skilled craft preferred, as is local and seasonal. Simple foods? Lovely. Processed ingredients, usually not. In other words, I taste widely and with pleasure. Pickled sweet peas. Tinned sardines in olive oil. Roast chicken. Dolsot bipbimbap. Crème Brulée. Rosé. Anything on good bread. Olives. Sidecar coffee. Shwarma. High tea with lemon tarts. Mac and cheese. Baby bok-choy softly sautéed. Fresh basil. Autumn tomatoes. Just-picked strawberries still warm from the sun. Salmon wrapped in sushi. Deep, dark chocolate. Delish!
I write. I read. Creativity and my surrounds inspire me. And dreams of food seeded the desire to blog. For years. But that voice! You know. The one that perches on a shoulder and shouts, “What do you have to say that others haven’t?” I have shushed that voice. Because I want to eat. I want to write about discoveries in the kitchen, wanderings, tastings and the delicious items that I run across in life. Everything is more delish while sharing.
